A Sharpsburg man was killed late Monday in a single-vehicle crash on Christopher Road.

The crash happened around 11:03 p.m. on Aug. 25 near McIntosh Estates Drive, according to Georgia State Patrol.

Investigators said a 2007 Infiniti M35 sedan was traveling north on Christopher Road when it entered a left-hand curve, left the roadway to the right, and struck a large pine tree. The car came to a final rest at the base of the tree.

The driver, identified as 70-year-old Bryant Raymond Lewis of Sharpsburg, was the sole occupant of the vehicle. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
