COLUMBUS (WXIX) - Religious leaders and several organizations are gathering in the heart of Ohio to advocate for a Cincinnati immigrant who has been detained by ICE for more than a month.

The groups, which include Undivided, CAIR-Ohio, YURSA and Ohio Immigrant Alliance, are asking Ohio Gov. Mike DeWine to intervene in the detention and possible deportation of Ayman Soliman, the former Cincinnati Children’s Hospital chaplain and local imam.

On Monday, advocates will gather and then deliver a letter to Gov. DeWine that they say has been signed by over 1,000 people, including friends, organizers, families Soliman has helped and more.
