WATERLOO, Iowa — UnityPoint Clinic Sports Medicine is extending its services with Saturday morning clinic hours for injury evaluation and treatment during the fall sports season.

Starting August 30, the clinic will welcome walk-ins from 8-11 a.m. every Saturday. This initiative aims to provide timely access to diagnostic equipment like x-rays, offering a convenient alternative to waiting for an appointment the following week.

Dr. Rafael Serrano, a fellowship-trained sports medicine specialist and orthopedic surgeon, leads the team. They are equipped to treat various injuries, including ACL tears, sprained ankles, fractures, joint dislocations, muscle strains, and concussions.
