LAS VEGAS ( FOX5 ) — Victoria Seaman will step down from her local role on the Las Vegas City Council for a role in the federal health department.
Seaman, a city council member for Las Vegas’ Ward 2, has announced she will step down from that position and take on a new role as regional director for the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services’ Denver Regional Office.
In 2024, Seaman ran for mayor of Las Vegas, losing the election to now-Mayor Shelley Berkley.
In a news release, Seaman said it had been an honor serving the people of Ward 2 for six years.
“While it is with a heavy heart that I step down from the City Council, I am deeply honored to continue my public service under the leadership of President Trump and Secretary Kennedy,” Seaman said. “I look forward to carrying out
