LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – Police have identified the man who was killed Saturday night in a motorcycle crash in north Lincoln .

Around 8 p.m., Jeffry Baker, 61, was heading north on 48th Street near Leighton Avenue when an SUV pulled out of a business.

The SUV struck Baker’s motorcycle, according to police.

Baker was taken to a hospital, where he later died. He was not wearing a helmet at the time of the crash, police said.

The driver of the SUV was “voluntarily evaluated” by an LPD drug recognition expert, despite not showing any signs of impairment at the scene, LPD said.
