New England Patriots wide receiver Ja’Lynn Polk , who could have been a potential Pittsburgh Steelers trade target, is out for the season with a shoulder injury, according to Jordan Schultz of Fox Sports.

Polk was the team’s second round pick out of Washington last year, and suffered a shoulder issue at some point during training camp that will require surgery. However, even before he was injured, it appeared that Polk was likely to be on the outside looking in for on that wide receiver room.

Polk had just 12 receptions for 87 yards and two touchdowns. The Steelers are said to be looking for wide receiver help, but they have a clear top five that should make the team.
