SALT LAKE CITY – Prosecutors have charged a 29-year-old woman in connection with a case of suspected road rage on I-15.

Kaytlynn Smith, of Bluffdale, was charged Friday with a felony count of aggravated assault and a misdemeanor count of property damage/destruction.

According to court documents, the incident happened on the afternoon of July 16 on I-15 near 10600 South in Sandy. Prosecutors said Smith was speeding, quickly changing lanes, and “almost hit the vehicle in front of her.”

Smith, according to prosecutors, also swerved out of her lane multiple times trying to hit the vehicle next to her, flipping off the female driver and throwing a drink at her car. She also slammed on her brakes several times, court documents stated. The driver of the other vehicle called 911.
