BIG CREEK TOWNSHIP, Mo. —
Staying afloat in school can be difficult for some students, but that takes on a whole different meaning in this competition in Harrisonville. Advertisement
It's a complex question: How do you make a boat float when it's made out of cardboard, duct tape, and some good old-fashioned confidence.
The goal: Make it out to a buoy around 50 yards from shore in the homemade boat.
The boat races were held to support Harrisonville Senior Mania — an organization that hosts a yearly after graduation party to help keep graduating seniors out of trouble after the big event.
