CLEVELAND, Ohio — It might already be time to dig out the jacket! After weeks of heat and humidity, Northeast Ohio will end August — and meteorological summer — with a taste of fall-like weather.
The fall preview is the result of a dip in the jet stream, which has pulled down cooler air from Canada.
That cooler air passing over Lake Erie is expected to trigger lake-effect clouds and scattered showers Monday into Tuesday, and a few rumbles of thunder can’t be ruled out. Rainfall could be locally heavy in spots, especially in the snowbelt, according to forecasters with the National Weather Service in Cleveland.
Elsewhere in Northeast Ohio, skies on Monday and Tuesday will be partly to mostly cloudy with spotty showers.
