TUSCALOOSA, Ala. ( WBRC ) - Art doesn’t just look or sound good, it can be good for your health, too.
Flourish Alabama, an arts and education group that uses art to help people see their own self-worth, joined the University of Alabama Medical Center for an outdoor event to show others how art could impact their health in a positive way.
“I think that art plays a major role when it comes to our health and our healing, especially when it comes to our mental health,” Jahman Hill, the Executive Director The Flourish Alabama. “A lot of those first steps when it comes to taking care of your body and taking care of your mind is you believing that you are valuable and worthy of taking those steps.”
