Others running for Birmingham mayor are : Kamau “Marlon” Afrika, Marilyn James-Johnson, Jerimy Littlepage, Brian K. Rice, David Russell and Frank Woodson.

All nine Birmingham city council seats are also up for grabs. If a runoff is needed, it will be held on Oct. 7.
