INDEPENDENCE, Mo. (KCTV) - Two Independence men are facing robbery charges after they allegedly took a man’s clothes, money and other items at gunpoint.
According to court documents, the Independence Police Department was dispatched to an area QuikTrip around 4:11 a.m. on Sunday, August 24, after a naked man arrived on the property.
The man told officers that a woman he had known for years had asked him to come over to her apartment after work that night for a “romantic encounter,” documents state. As he sat in the living room next to the woman, however, two men he didn’t recognize came out of a back room.
One of the men, later identified as John Page, 35, allegedly hit the victim in the head while the other, Joseph Carroll, 36, held a gun to his head.
