The Titans cut 16 players Monday, including one former draft pick.

Tennessee still has plenty of work ahead, as all NFL teams must reduce their roster size to 53 players — from a maximum of 90 — before Tuesday’s 3 p.m. CT deadline.

There were no real surprises in Monday’s announced cuts, but it’s still noteworthy when a draft pick gets released. The Titans parted ways with wide receiver Jha’Quan Jackson, a sixth-round 2024 pick out of Tulane University.

The Titans drafted Jackson hoping he could become the team’s return man on punts and kick-offs, and because he is a speedy — if raw — pass catcher.

Jackson averaged 7.7 yards on 28 punt returns and 25.8 yards on 34 kick returns last season.
