Tropical Storm Fernand , which formed in the Atlantic Ocean Saturday night , continues moving north and east in open waters and poses no direct threat to Bermuda or the United States, forecasters say.

As of Monday morning, Fernand was spinning about 360 miles east-northeast of Bermuda and was generating top sustained winds of 50 mph, according to the National Hurricane Center.

Forecasters say the tropical storm will continue moving slowly “across the open waters of the subtropical central Atlantic well east and northeast of Bermuda” during the next two days.
