Police peeled through 7 layers of wrapping to find shooting victim hidden inside a mattress

JACKSON, MI — Police found John Francis Lusch’s body hidden deep inside a soiled mattress, folded and bound like it was set to be discarded.

Lusch’s unclothed remains were duct taped under seven layers of wrappings inside the mattress held together with several bungee cords, Jackson Police Sgt. Michael Kruso testified in court Monday, Aug. 25.
