SYRACUSE, N.Y. (WSYR-TV) -- A group of motorcycles and illegal street vehicles have been turning a downtown Syracuse intersection into their own private playground.
"This is a recurring problem that we have that comes up every year between reckless driving on motorcycles and then also the use of ATVs, dirt bikes and four-wheelers that are operated illegally on the public roadway," said Sgt. Tom Blake with the Syracuse Police Department.
On August 21, an incident of this nature occurred at the corner of East Fayette and South Salina Streets.
"The middle of downtown is heavily populated. There are several businesses and people coming down here for enjoying the downtown area," Blake said. "That's the last spectacle we want in the middle of the road."
