ROSEBURG, Ore. – Fire officials said that the cause of a fire that severely damaged a Roseburg home on Sunday morning is currently under investigation, according to the Roseburg Fire Department.

RFD officials said they responded at 6:15 a.m. on Aug. 24 to a house fire on West Harrison Street with visible external smoke reported. Responding fire crews arrived and confirmed heavy black smoke coming all of the home’s eaves and flames visible on an exterior portion of the home. A search determined that the home was unoccupied and fire officials determined that no one currently resided in the home, Roseburg fire officials said. Fire crews quickly attacked and extinguished the fire and conducted overhaul of the home which sustained severe structural, smoke, and water damage.
