FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. (KNWA/KFTA) — UPDATE: Fayetteville police say they do not see any evidence of an active shooter. They say they are still clearing buildings. The investigation is still active.
During a news conference, officials said that UAPD and FPD received calls of a reported active shooter at 12:30 p.m. They said no evidence of a shooting has been found, and therefore no arrests has been made.
As of 2:10 p.m. no "all clear" message has been officially issued.
Fayettevile PD issued the following statement via Facebook:
"At approximately 12:30 PM this afternoon, the Fayetteville Police Department was called to assist the University of Arkansas Police Department at a report of an active shooter at David W Mullins Library on the University of Arkansas campus.
