PARK CITY, Kan. (KSNW) - The Park City City Council approved a $145 million STAR bond proposal on Tuesday to fund the Champtown development by a vote of 8-1.
The planned $500 million, 160-acre development would include an 80,000-square-foot aquarium, retail, restaurants, a butterfly wonderland, and a baseball and softball complex.
Champtown, which broke ground in June 2024, will be located on the west side of Interstate 135, between 53rd Street and 61st Street.
The developer, Lange Real Estate, is also working on another project in town known as Park Centre. It will be a mixed-use development near 61st Street North and Hydraulic.
