LANSING, Mich. (WILX) - The Lansing Police Department has identified the two victims killed in a single-car crash on Saturday.

Cheniya Rogers, 20, and Nathan Pentecost Jr, 21, were killed early Saturday morning in a single-vehicle crash, Lansing Police said Monday afternoon.

Police say the crash happened around 4:30 a.m. on the 300 block of West Oakland Avenue.

The vehicle was carrying five passengers when it crashed into a utility pole.

Rogers and Pentecost were found dead at the scene. The other three passengers were taken to the hospital.

One of the passengers was in “critical condition” as of Saturday.

"Alcohol and speed appear to be contributing factors," Lansing Police said in a statement.
