COUNCIL BLUFFS, Iowa (WOWT) - A Council Bluffs man will be serving time in a federal prison for a firearms charge.
51-year-old Ronald Behee Jr. was sentenced to 42 months in prison for possession of a firearm as a felon.
Since there is no parole in the federal system, Behee will serve a three year term of supervised release after his time in prison.
According to court documents, Behee, a convicted felon, took a loaded handgun to work in October of 2024.
After receiving a tip, authorities found a loaded .380 handgun with an unreadable serial number in Behee’s locker. Also in the locker was approximately 8 grams of methamphetamine and 4.4 grams of marijuana.
Documents say Behee’s criminal history includes thefts, controlled substances, and domestic violence convictions.
