SIDNEY, Neb. (KNOP) - The Nebraska State Patrol arrested a man after troopers found 60 pounds of meth during a traffic stop on Interstate 80 near Sidney on Aug. 18.
A trooper pulled over a Honda CRV around 9 p.m. for driving on the shoulder. NSP said the trooper became suspicious of criminal activity, leading to a search of the vehicle.
Inside a suitcase, troopers found dozens of packages containing suspected meth, weighing a total of 60 pounds.
The driver, Elmer Posadas Castro, 29, of El Monte, California, was arrested on suspicion of possession of methamphetamine and possession with intent to deliver. He was booked into the Cheyenne County Jail.
The investigation is ongoing.
