GAINESVILLE, Fla. (WCJB) - The University of Florida Board of Trustees voted unanimously to approve the nominee for interim president of the university on Monday morning.

Board chair Mori Hosseini nominated Dr. Donald Landry to be the next leader of the university, temporarily, on Monday morning. The board voted unanimously to confirm.

Landry is a professor at Columbia University Irving Medical Center, the director of the Center of Human Longevity, and the president of the American Academy of Sciences and Letters.
