A provincial investment of more than $2.4 million will allow the Kemptville Campus, Brockville-based manufacturer Canarm Ltd., and others to continue training young people in the skilled trades.
In a media event Monday morning hosted at the riverside home of Canarm owner David Beatty, Leeds-Grenville-Thousand Islands and Rideau Lakes MPP Steve Clark announced the Ontario government is investing the sum through the Skills Development Fund (SDF) Training Stream, adding it will help 3,200 young people, job-seekers and apprentices in the area train for sought-after careers in the skilled trades.
