A Richmond woman died after being shot in a North Side residence on Sunday night.

Police responded at 9:33 p.m. to the 500 block of Hunt Avenue for a reported shooting. Officers arrived to find a woman inside a residence suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. She died at the scene.

On Monday, police identified the victim as Johnnita Russell, 34, of Richmond.
