COUNCIL BLUFFS, Iowa —

A Council Bluffs man will serve prison time after he went to work with a loaded gun that he wasn't supposed to have.

Ronald Behee Jr., a convicted felon, was sentenced to 42 months in prison.

Last October, the 51-year-old took a loaded pistol to work at Tyson Foods.

A tip to law enforcement led them to the gun with an unreadable serial number in Behee's locker.

He also had about eight grams of methamphetamine and some marijuana.

After his sentence, Behee will be on supervised release for three years.

He also has to forfeit the gun and pay a $100 special assessment.
