LINCOLN, Neb. —

Two new ballot measures aim to strike at the heart of Nebraska's property tax burden. They were unveiled in the Capitol Rotunda on Monday by the group Advocates for All Nebraskans.

"For too long, the people of Nebraska have been unheard when it comes to property tax relief and reform," Eric Underwood, the former head of the NEGOP and current registered agent for AFAN, said.

One of the initiatives would cut property taxes in half, even as schools, counties and cities heavily rely on that revenue.
