San Bernardino County is included in an updated flash flood warning released by the National Weather Service on Monday at 4:50 p.m. The warning is in effect until 8 p.m.

“At 4:50 p.m., Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing heavy rain across the warned area. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly,” states the NWS Las Vegas NV . “Life-threatening flash flooding of low-water crossings, creeks, normally dry washes and roads.”

The warning is for CA State Route 62 between mile markers 43 and 63.

The NWS said, “Turn around, don’t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles. In hilly terrain there are hundreds of low water crossings which are potentially dangerous in heavy rain. Do not attempt to cross flooded roads. Find an alternate r
