PHOENIX (AZFamily) — Thousands of people are without power across the state as a strong Monsoon sweeps across parts of the Valley and Pinal County.

SRP is reporting more than 12,000 customers lost power . The major outages are in Apache Junction, Chandler and near Mesa Gateway Airport.

APS is reporting at least 11,000 customers across the state without power. The largest outages are happening in Tempe and southeastern Arizona near Red Rock.

Driving conditions heading into evening rush hour may be impacted in certain areas. It is important to pull aside and turn your hazard lights on when visibility is extremely limited.
