KENTUCKY (WKYT) - Kentucky high schools in eastern and western Kentucky are experiencing two shootings near football fields, two days apart.
One shooting happened during practice, the other during a game.
On Friday night, a shooting happened during a game between Graves County High School and Mayfield High School. According to police, during the fourth quarter of the “battle of the birds” game, shots rang out near the football field.
Police say a 14-year-old shot an 18-year-old.
The victim was flown to the hospital and is stable. The 14-year-old is charged with assault.
