SIOUX CITY, Iowa (KCAU) — The Sioux City Community School District’s Board of Directors approved the use of a collection agency to get unpaid school lunch balances paid off.

As of May 27, 2025, the unpaid lunch balance within the Sioux City Community School District (SCCSD) is just under $80,000. Board members voted five to two to authorize a third-party collections agency to collect unpaid balances that exceed $300.
