Korean Air has placed the largest single order for new aircraft in its history with the combined total coming to 103 new Boeing airliners of four different types. The airline has surpassed 150 total aircraft orders in 2025, building on the March 2025 order for 50 planes.

The procurement of the new aircraft is also part of the ongoing merger with Asiana Airlines that will see the two carriers fully integrate as one fleet. Four years of negotiations culminated in the final acquisition in late 2024, the new jets are planned delivered over the next several years.
