Neighbors who live in the county are worried it could overload their community.

Deputies seek evaluation of Burke County intersection after deadly crash

Burke County deputies are seeking help from state officials after a deadly crash on Highway 25 on Thursday.

“A lot of people have posed a lot of questions. I haven’t seen any of those questions answered. None of them,” said Lee Muns, who lives in Coumbia County.

However, neighbors aren’t giving up.

They’ve even started a petition with more than 300 signatures and passing out flyers with the text, “No data factory.”

Leaders say the project is being considered because of possible tax breaks for neighbors.
