SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WWLP) - The Hampden County Sheriff's Department has been making strides in helping incarcerated individuals reconnect with their loved ones, and their efforts are now being showcased in a new TV series.

On Monday night, the community, along with local and state leaders, got to witness the impact the Hampden County Sheriff's Department has on inmates and their loved ones through the TV series called 'Family Lockup."

"This series are folks who have been engaged in the system for years. The real struggle is that we want people to see real stories. We want them to empathize," said the CEO of Lucky 8 Productions (Family Lockup co-producer), Greg Henry.
