ATWATER, Calif. (KSEE/KGPE) – Planet Fitness is opening its first-ever location in Atwater.

According to the company's website, the new gym will take over the former Rite Aid on 571 Bellevue Rd.

The 18,562 square-foot space will feature all the strength and cardio equipment of a traditional Planet Fitness, including: selectorized (pin-loaded) equipment, cable towers, free weights, smith machines, treadmills, ellipticals, rowers, and upright bikes.

An opening date has yet to be announced, but according to the company's website, a pre-grand opening sale is coming soon.
