Thursday will technically be game No. 2 for Heinrich Haarberg as a tight end. The Nebraska senior considers it more like his first.
The last and only time Haarberg lined up anywhere other than quarterback was the bowl game in December. Back then, he was a few weeks into a position switch.
The opener against Cincinnati is a new beginning.
“It’s going to be exciting,” Haarberg said Monday. “I can’t wait to show the work I put in.”
