Officers are searching for a key witness after a suspected shoplifter 'filled his jacket' in Manchester.

Greater Manchester Police says the suspect entered a store on Oldham Road before allegedly stuffing his coat and a carrier bag with household items.

In total, around £80 worth of stock was stolen at around 9.50am on Friday, August 15.

Detectives have today (August 26) released a CCTV image of a man they would like to speak to in connection with the incident.

Anyone who recognises him, or has more information on what happened, is urged to come forward.
