Lloyds bank has become the first UK bank to introduce a specific new rule. The move will affect millions of members who have an account with the firm. ‌

Starting from today, Tuesday, August 26, the innovative feature will allow customers who use the Lloyds banking app to deposit hundreds of pounds worth of cash into their accounts while doing their shopping or just out and about. ‌

To do this, customers using the app need to visit the 'Everyday' section to generate a barcode that can then be scanned at a PayPoint location to deposit the selected amount of notes or coins. ‌

It is the latest feature to be added to the Lloyds banking app that already offers a range of services including card controls, subscription management and a credit health tracker.
