A sustainable coffee chain in the Boston area that focuses on working directly with farmers has opened a new café.
George Howell Coffee opened its newest location at Lyrik in Back Bay on Tuesday. The opening marked the company’s sixth location in the Boston area. Other cafes are located at The Godfrey in Downtown Crossing, Boston Public Market, Lovestruck Books in Cambridge and Newtonville. George Howell Coffee has a “Roastery” in Action.
To celebrate its grand opening, the Lyrik café will offer $1 small cups of hot, iced and cold brew coffee from 12 to 2 p.m. Tuesday. In addition, the first 100 customers will get a complimentary limited-release George Howell Coffee Lyrik tote bag.
“At George Howell Coffee, we are not just roasters; we are interpreters of the intricate symphony
