LANSING, Mich. (WILX) - Youtube TV subscribers may need to find a new way to watch their favorite football teams as the streaming platform is currently locked in a contract dispute with FOX. If the two sides can not come to an agreement by Wednesday, Aug 27, Fox channels such as the Fox Broadcast Network, Fox News, Fox Sports, FS1, and the Big Ten Network may become unavailable on the platform.
The dispute comes just before the start of the NFL and college football seasons which draw large viewership numbers on several Fox channels.
Michigan State will open the their college football season Friday, Aug 29 at home against Western Michigan on FS1 and this dispute could impact fans’ ability to watch the game. Kickoff for Friday night’s season opener is set for 7:00 p.m. at Spartan Stadium.
