PICKENS COUNTY, S.C. —

One person is dead after a two-vehicle crash in Pickens County, South Carolina, according to the South Carolina Highway Patrol.

Troopers said a pickup truck was driving north on Old Seneca Road, and an SUV was driving south. They said the SUV then went left of center and hit the pickup truck.

According to troopers, the driver of the SUV died on the scene.

The driver of the truck was injured and taken to the hospital.

Officials have not released the victim's name.
