Preliminary data shows people are still getting used to new parking rules in downtown Vancouver.

Between June 1, when the city started charging for on-street parking seven days a week on downtown streets south of Evergreen Boulevard, and the first week of August, city parking officials issued 347 parking citations — mostly for parking in prohibited areas such as fire lanes or loading zones — and 1,489 warnings.
