ALCOA, Tenn. — Alcoa police identified the man who was killed when he was struck by a semi-truck in Alcoa.

According to Alcoa police, Rowland Buck, 61, was killed in the crash.

A City of Alcoa spokesperson said Alcoa police were called to the crash on East Hunt Road at North Wright Road around 8 a.m. According to the spokesperson, Buck and the semi were going the same direction before sideswiping and crashing.

Buck was given CPR as soon as police, fire and AMR personnel arrived on scene. The person was taken to the University of Tennessee Medical Center in critical condition. APD later confirmed Buck was pronounced dead at the hospital.

According to Global Methodist Church, Buck was a pastor at St. Mark's Global Methodist Church in Louisville and was the dean of the cabinet of the MidS
