KANSAS CITY, Kan. (KAKE) - A Kansas City, Kansas police officer suffered serious injuries after being struck by a car during a chase Tuesday morning.

KMBC-TV reports that officers were investigating a report of shots fired shortly after midnight. An officer stopped a car in the area, with the officer reporting seeing the driver with a gun before the driver sped off.
