WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. — After an emotional show of support by students across the district on Monday, even more walkouts protesting job cuts in Winston-Salem/Forsyth County Schools are set for Tuesday.
Students at Parkland High in Winston-Salem staged a walkout at 10:25 a.m. on Tuesday in support of teachers and other staff members who are either losing their jobs or being demoted as the district moves forward with plans to cut over 300 positions.
A similar student-led protest happened at Atkins High in Winston-Salem at 2:50 p.m.
