The Corinth-Alcorn Animal Shelter has launched a new AC Spay Special for the community to take advantage of.
Through the program, anyone who brings in a pet to be spayed or neutered will also receive a free microchip and a free vaccine. Dogs will receive a DAPP vaccine, and cats will be given an FVRCP vaccine.
Shelter officials say the goal of the program is to promote responsible pet ownership by reducing the stray population and ensuring pets are protected from preventable diseases. The free microchip is designed to help pets find their way home if they are ever lost.
“This is a perfect opportunity for families to care for their pets while saving money,” the shelter said in a statement.
Appointments can be scheduled by calling the shelter directly at (662) 872-0300.
