After the news on several Miami Dolphins roster cuts came out Monday, the team continued to work toward formulated its initial 53-player active roster for the season ahead of Tuesday’s 4 p.m. deadline.

The Dolphins first made the splash news signing of cornerback Rasul Douglas Tuesday morning. As they got back to cuts, they released outside linebacker Quinton Bell, a core special teamer in 2024, according to ESPN .

Bell doesn’t make Miami’s initial 53 in 2025 as the team changed special teams coordinators, from Danny Crossman to Craig Aukerman. Bell played in all 17 games for the Dolphins in 2024, contributing 372 special teams snaps while also in on 257 defensive snaps and starting three games on the edge, notching a sack along the way.
