The Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) is advising motorists to be alert for several upcoming changes on Highway 59 and Highway 287 near Corrigan.

Three traffic-pattern switches on these two U.S. highways will be implemented this week as work on the Corrigan Relief Route progresses.

Traffic Shift Number One

The first of the shifts will be for northbound traffic on Highway 59, which will take place on Tuesday, August 26.

Temporary lanes were built in what will become the median of Business Highway 59 when the relief route is completed. The existing right-hand lanes will be used with the temporary lanes to maintain two-lane highways for north and southbound traffic.
