Veteran cornerback Bobby Price, who played his first three NFL seasons with the Detroit Lions, is out in Washington.
League sources confirmed to NFL reporter Aaron Wilson that the Washington Commanders are releasing the 27-year-old cornerback as part of roster cuts ahead of Tuesday’s 4 p.m. deadline, when all NFL teams must finalize their 53-man rosters.
It’s unclear if the Commanders intend to re-sign him to their practice squad, where he started last August.
Price appeared in three games for Washington last season, registering one tackle and logging 34 snaps on special teams. In February, Price signed a deal to return to the Commanders as part of their 90-man offseason roster.
