Cold temperatures are on tap overnight and at sunrise Wednesday. For interior northern Lower Michigan tomorrow morning will be the coldest morning since around the first of June.

If you live in the always cold spots in the middle of northern Michigan, you could have some spotty light frost.

The conditions are perfect for light frost over northern Michigan if you aren’t near any Great Lakes water. The Great Lakes are quite warm right now. This warm water will keep any part of northern Lower Michigan much warmer than frosting temperatures.

That won’t be the case from the cold area of northeast Lower Michigan around Mio to Gaylord to Grayling and Houghton Lake.
